Since its debut in February 2022, the hostage reality show ‘Lock Upp,’ hosted by actress Kangana Ranaut, has been making headlines. The show is being aired live on MX Player and ALTBalaji and has already surpassed 100 million views in just 19 days. ALTBalaji and MX Player have released two new features on the applications to enhance a user experience as distinctive and exclusive as the content itself: Super Voting/ for Loyal and Super Fans and Khabris. The Audience Suggestion Poll, Contestant Chat, and other features will be added to the app in the near future. They will also reveal the very engaging Appeal Box, which will provide a wholesome interactive experience.
The Appeal Box will increase participation by allowing inmates to create a video asking a basic amenity. ALTBalaji and MX will host the videos as petitions. Each petition can be supported by an audience, and the petition with the most support (at least 30,000 users) will be accepted.
Interactivity categorizes users into Super Fans based on their level of interaction. The Super Fan will be chosen at the sole discretion and option of both firms, with one vote of the Voter equaling ten votes. ALTBalaji and MX Player will identify such voters based on their viewership data, and these voters will be able to vote normally in addition to super-voting. 1 SUPER VOTER will be chosen at random to represent Khabri on Thursday for MX Player & Friday for ALTBalaji.
Prediction, an MX Games and ALTBalaji creation, allows audiences to anticipate and win. Accurate winning predictions, team captain predictions, and elimination predictions, for example, will let players earn points and prizes on a regular basis. The results will be revealed during the show. This interaction component encourages audience participation in the show and allows them to stay connected to their favourite contestants. Similarly, viewers can save their favourite inmates on the show by ‘Voting.’
